Community Supports Food Bank Backpack Program

The School Supplies in a Backpack Program is getting support from a local church through the “Brunch for Backpacks” fundraiser. The brunch will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 18th from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

The Thrivent Lutheran Services has pledged a 50% match to all of the funds raised that day for the Snohomish Community Food Bank, specifically for the School Supplies in a Backpack Program, which provides backpacks with required school supplies to the kids in the Snohomish School District who need one.

The menu includes pancakes, french toast, breakfast casserole, fruit, assorted pastries, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The suggested donation is only $10.00 per person or $25.00 for a family of four. Come over after church and join your friends and neighbors for a fine meal in support of a worthy program!
