Project Harvest

You may have heard the term “gleaning” but what is it exactly? Gleaning is when volunteers harvest produce left behind in farm fields and donate it to local food banks. It prevents crops from going to waste and helps fresh, nutritious food reach people in need. Project Harvest is the largest, most productive gleaning program in Snohomish County. So far this year they have collected and distributed over 21,500 pounds of locally grown produce to area food banks. Outstanding!
