Meet the Board of Trustees

The Board is responsible to ensure that fiscally sound programs and efficient operations are delivered to the client users of the food bank in accordance with the organization’s mission statement. The Board does this by adhering to the adopted articles and by-laws of the corporation, advocating for client users of the food bank, and by providing leadership, advice and direction to the executive director, staff and volunteers. Board members are elected to serve a three year term. The Snohomish Community Food Bank serves all qualified individuals and families residing inside the boundaries of the Snohomish School District. Board member

Director of Operations for HopeWorks Social Enterprises, a Housing Hope affiliate. Applying experiences from 20 years in technology industries, including tours of duty with IBM, business consulting and 13 years as a small business owner, Ross brings an understanding of marketing and branding to the world of Social Enterprises.

Laura Hartman

Board Member

Currently President of the Snohomish Garden Club and Chair of the Martha Perry Community Veggie Garden, a collaboration of Snohomish Garden Club with Bailey Farms to supply local food banks with thousands of pounds of fresh local produce every growing season.  A resident of Snohomish County for 37 years, helping run a small family auto-repair business.

Tanya Ryner

Board Member

Tanya Ryner is the appointed Board Member who represents the volunteer force. She and her husband, Paul have been on the Bread Crew for over eight years.

Tanya worked in the accounting office at the Northshore School District from 1964- 67; and then, went to Boeing for the next 26 years, retiring in 2002. She also volunteers with the United Way of Snohomish County assisting people with their taxes. She attends the Snohomish Evangelical Free Church, sings with their Worship Team and leads a Book Club. Tanya and Paul have three grown children, one of whom (Lance) helps out at the Food Bank while home visiting his parents. Tanya and Paul celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016.
