Kids’ Café Needs Volunteers

If you aren’t familiar with Kids’ Café, it is a vital summer meal program that helps replace the breakfasts and lunches served to children during the school year. USPS Food Drive

Saturday May 12th is the 26th annual Letter Carriers Food Drive. Also known as America’s great day of giving, it is the largest one-day food drive in the country and it is so easy to help.

~Collect a bag of non-perishable food items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, peanut butter and rice. This year our greatest needs are baby diapers sizes 4, 5 and 6, adult diapers, Ensure, canned corn, peas and fruit. Think healthy.
~Place the bag by your mailbox on Saturday May 12th and your letter carrier will do the rest.
This day of action is vital to keeping our shelves full as donations tend to slow during the summer months. All donations will directly benefit the Snohomish Community Food Bank and begin feeding families immediately. SCFB and America’s Letter Carriers thank you for helping to Stamp Out Hunger!

If you would like to volunteer on Saturday May 12th, please email our Executive Director Elizabeth Grant: director@snohomishfoodbank.org or call 360-568-7993. A delicious lunch and snacks will be provided and you will be helping alongside the funnest bunch of volunteers in Snohomish. It’s going to be a blast! Thank you Snohomish!!

They Invented It!

We have dozens of dollies that we use to transport our crates and donations throughout the food bank. Storing the extras was always tricky because their weight and wheels would make them teeter off of each other. Volunteers Paul and Judy came up with a fantastic solution. Their mobile Dolly Hauly invention allows us to to stack our dollies safely and move them easily to any location. Thank you Paul and Judy!

Pet Food Pantry

Our pet pantry needs your help! We are running very low on cat and kitten food. If you would like to help feed our feline friends, please consider donating canned or dry food. We can even accept open bags of dry food because we re-portion it so every family will be able to take food home for their pets. Thank you!!
